Thank you
Andrew,
First of thank you for the episode on Turkey. I just caught a rerun a couple weeks ago and loved it! I am Turkish myself. I have been living in the US for the last 9 years but I pride myself on how involved and knowledgable I am about my country and my culture.... or so I thought until I watched your show!!! Male belly dancers??? Kuskoy?????? :)))))))))) It was an incredible show and I applaud your courage!
A couple points though, the bridge you showed while saying the best view is on the bridge over Bosphorous, was actually Galata bridge, a bridge over the Golden Horn, a bay going inland from Bosphorous. And a few scenes from Edirne (like the little minibus) were mixed with scenes of Istanbul. But who cares???? Great great great show!!!!!! I already love your Bizzare Foods Show, and this is even better!
You are my hero!!!!
Brave Man
You know you could make several of these programs about Turkey alone, not to mention the food. Great job! Congratulations to the crew too. I also have to say I never laughed so much watching a travel channel - the oil wrestling part was so funny - you are a very brave man!

Great Job
After watching your show, I wanted to go to Turkey and enjoy a bath and a rub-down. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard during your oil wrestling! You did a great job showing the bizarre and also really capturing peoples' interest. I know Turkey is now a place I would like to visit. I can't wait to see your next Bizarre World...

BW Turkey
I am watching it right now and am ROFL!!! I am a huge fan of BF and this show is just as entertaining. I am a pretty picky eater at home but have learned through traveling that eating with people is the best way to get to know them. So when I'm abroad, I am more open to tasting almost anything my hosts offer me. Your show (actually it's showS now
) inspires me to do so! Thanks AZ!!

Turkey: a bizarre world
As a Turk, living and studying in the States far away from home, with your show you brought home to me. I really enjoyed the show because with a humorous touch you showed the interesting and different aspects of Turkey where many people will not get to know or see. I especially enjoyed your belly dancing
. I hope and wish that you also include Turkey in Bizarre Foods someday because there are some bizarre foods that many people will not dare to eat....
Turkey
Andrew, I applaud you and everyone who worked in the production of the pilot. It was funny, extremely interesting and simply a pleasure to watch. I also agree with the commenter below. Thank God it wasn't another Rick Steves! haha!!
Good show
I am glad it’s not another Rick Steves. The show is “bizarre” and funny. I travel a lot for business, but rarely have the luxury nor the knowledge to experience the “bizarre”.
Through Bizarre World, I can experience the “bizarre” through Andrew’s adventures without worrying embarrassing myself. I like Bizarre Food, and I think I enjoy Bizarre World even more.

BizWOW!
Great Show! I Want To See More.
Andrew,
Congrats. You pulled it off. Bizarre Worlds is a great concept and you are a great host. I really enjoy Bizarre Foods. You are equally as entertaining in the new show. You are game for anything. Brave. Witty. Upbeat. And just fun to watch. I hope to see many more Bizarre Worlds.
You could definately give someone else on Travel Channel some pointers on how to successfully pull off a new show. You are just great all around.

Is 'Turkish brute' an appropriate way to describe someone?
I just noticed this...I looked up the definition of 'brute' on Merriam Webster. Here's what it says:
1: of or relating to beasts <the ways of the brute world>2: characteristic of an animal in quality, action, or instinct: as a: cruel , savage
Thanks!
Congratulations for this

Oil Wrestling and Belly Dancing
I loved watching the Turky Episode. When you belly danced and did the oil wrestling, I couldn't stop laughing, but I was impressed at the same time. I don't know any guys where I live that would even think of putting on a skirt. ^.^ Lol. You were really good at that belly dancing though. Kudos to you. Hope to see much more of your show, Bizarre Worlds soon. ^.^ Though when you visited that place with all the hair, I was a little weirded out but in the end thought it was all pretty cool.
Perfection
I loved the show!
I think Bizzare Worlds has fantastic potential and I look forward to seeing more episodes! I have a brilliant idea though: take me with next time!

Andrew,
Well...it was very interesting, but I was kinda shocked you were able to get that episode on primetime...what with the 'hand down the pants' move, and all. Alexander
holiday
oh by the way, thank you adrew for broadcasting Turkey show on tuesday night which was also Turkish national Republic Holiday. it means a lot to Turks
oh by the way, I think your crew should be more careful about the scenes in Turkey, because at the beginnig of the show, a group of soccer audiences was showed and they were actually swearing at the referee of the game about his sexual decisions hehe. I thought it was funnier than oil olive wrestling
Turkey
As an American who grew up in Turkey for 7 years, I was incredibly impressed with the excellent, informative and culturally sensitive presentation of Turkey's most unusual sights. Normally I take a dim view of western shows peering into other cultures - they don't show enough or just lampoon as they observe, but your fascination with the subject at hand is plainly evident. Your program is definitley above the fray of every travelogue I've seen thus far, and thanks to you, I'd never known of Kuskoy until last night.
Fantastic ~
The new show is just great. I laughed - I cried (because I was laughing so hard). I love the new format, it makes the show even richer.
Thanks! I can't wait to see what's next!

Terrific Episode!
Probably my most favorite episode ever, Andrew. I felt like I was there, walking in Capadocia (sp?), along the cobblestoned streets of Istanbul, in the steam baths and barbershops. What a treat. The oil wrestling bit was a hoot--and it looks difficult. Slippery and difficult.
I will try to catch the Turkey episode on reruns. Thanks for a great piece of television. More like this please!

Bizarre Worlds
I found the show, like "Bizarre Foods", absolutely delightful! It is nice to see you focus on aspects of cultures outside of the food paradigm, and you've shown yourself to be equally capable and comfortable in both presentations.
Turkey was an excellent choice for a pilot, and I hope to see this show continue. Future places I would like for you to consider are Mongolia, Lapplands (Finland), Greenland, and Tibet. Of course, you could rightly cover the whole damn planet with this, or either, show. (And maybe you ought to.)
Andrew, I consider you to be one of the best TV personalities EVER, and from my standpoint you really can't fail at any show you do. You know how to "do TV".
So, keep doing "Bizarre Worlds". We're watching!
