Are You Bizarre Enough For TV?

Are you bizarre enough for tv?

Many of you have asked how you can sample bizarre foods of the world with me. We've heard you loud and clear and now the folks at the Travel Channel and I have created the "Are You Bizarre Enough for TV?" Casting Call. Viewers will submit a video to get a chance to be my sidekick on an upcoming Bizarre Foods episode to be shot next year.  Three finalists will also get a trip to Minneapolis (in March - in the snow!) to meet with me so I can decide who gets the nod.  Send your video or just check out the entries we've received thus far at travelchannel.com/bizarrevideo. Bon Appetit!

I Know Someone Who Dreams of Traveling with YOU

Dear Andrew:

My husband has been battling cancer for almost 2 years and recently we were told he is cancer free. While discussing with his surgeon our ideal vacation, his doctor confided in us that his dream vacation is to travel with YOU for a few weeks. We were stunned but he was absolutely serious, he couldn't think of a more wonderful vacation than traveling the world with you and eating unusual foods. So, please put him in the running for this contest, he's a fantastic surgeon and a wonderful person with a great sense of humor. This is a man who deals with life and death on a daily basis who is looking for travel adventure and bizarre foods - wow it seems like you have just the thing for him. Also, just remember if you eat something and you get sick, who better to have along with you than a doctor/surgeon.

thanks

ANDREW ZIMMERN = GOD

Andrew,

Your show is the greatest thing on TV.  I would be honored if you would take me fooding with you.   I get very jealous when I watch your show, I want to try everything you try.   You are my hero, and I'd do anything to meet you.  I want to try everything out there.  I also love learning different langauges and I am very interested in other cultures.  I am an adventurous individual, and traveling with you would be like a dream come true.

TAKE ME FOODING WITH YOU!

Wish I could

Wish I could join you but my wife would never let me gallavant around the world without her Frown  Come on down to Chicago and we can go grab some reindeer dogs.......my treat!

I love Bizarre Foods...

Ive always wanted to be on Andrews show. Ive never had the chance to go out of the country or try anything truly bizarre, but i will honestly try anything. living with a former chef and a nurse has given me a strong stomach and a love of food. i have 100% trust in Andrew when he says something is good. i also love different cultures. i love people and languages, and i will do anything to learn how our world functions. wether its blood sausage of cows blood, i love it all. i would like to actually learn how to eat these foods and share the experience with the people who literally breath and eat it.

I'm more than ready to be bizzare!

I've done nothing with my tv life in the evening, but watch your show. I often get extremely jealous at the things you get to taste. I find myself going to the store and buying canned octopus, straining it and adding kimchi and fish sauce. I get frustrated and shoot over to the Japanese steakhouse and order the oddest thing I can find. I've, more often than not, asked the chef to give me something "different". I have a habit of this where ever I go.

Am I ready for bizzare foods? I'd have to say most definitely ready for any bizzare food you have. I'm ready to stomach "stinky tofu". I want to catch my own bat, slay my own goat. I'm ready for ludafisk. I'm willing to try anything. Even the mistery meat and eggs that Andrew "tried twice" and could barely stomach. I want to eat the spiked fruit from Asia that Andrew almost regurgitated. That's how dedicated I am.

If you dare to challenge me, send me a comment and tell me what you'd like to see me eat. If I can get ahold of it, I'll eat it on film. I want to be Andrew's Sues Food Connoisseur.

 Stoney Jackson

Love your show but...

I'm not sure if I'm bizarre enough.  I have eaten cuy chactao (guinea pig) in Tacna, Peru.  My wife is Peruvian amd her mother cooks a lot of great food that would seem a little bazarre to us gringos.  I think you should plan one of your trips to Peru.  It would be a great show.
