Belize-Central American not South America

Dear Adrew, Love your show however, please get your facts straight, I am a Belizean American too, and notice that when you referred to Belize you mentioned that it is located in South America. Fyi, Belize is located in Central America. Another thing about Belize there were nicer place for you to visit in Belize than the shack that snake man live in. He chooses to live like that. My family is not living like that. Another thing I spent quite a few years the first part of my life in Gails Point , the rodent that you ate, Queen Elizabeth chose to eat that, we are a caribbean country and she could have eaten seafood. Not all Belizeans eat like that, for one my sister and myself are vegetarians. On Gails Point, you could have showed the beaufiul sea and the Manatees that live around that area. When watching your shows we don’t always want to see the poor people, it discourages people from wanting to visit those poor countires. Lastly, my dear Andrew, I notice on most of your shows, you eat directly out of peoples pot and double dip. In the Belizean culture, no one would have eaten after you if they saw that. That's so unhealthy and flat out nasty..... Try putting some food on a plate or using a spoon only once and don’t eat directly over the pot, eat over your hand instead. Don't get me wrong, I love your show, just try to practice better hygiene... The next time you want to visit Belize, please let me know and I will show you a great time in BELIZE…….

Belize

I live in Belize and saw an inaccuracy in your show. When the Mayan woman made the caldo , you said she put BLOOD in it, actually it is a spice grown locally. When asking other Mayans locally they never add blood to the soup.It makes me wonder how much of the other shows were "hyped" up for the shock factor? At least give the people the truth. BTW we don't like the new format "bizarre world", should have just left it alone.

Belize

As for the "no blood" you must not have been paying very close attention during the preparation because it sure looked like blood to me. The addition of blood to soups, stews, etc., has been and still is common practice in MANY cultures. There is nothing better than adding some beef blood to a good beef stew it works as a wonderful thickener. The new show, "Bizzare World" is AWESOME Andrew, there is so much more depth and interaction with the different cultures that's what makes it great. Keep up the great work Andrew.

AZ in Belize

I LOVED the show on Belize, The Cave of the Crystal Maiden was incredible!!! I would love to explore caves such as those shown in Belize, that must have been soooo awesome. I liked the Nurse Shark scene as well. Growing up in So. Florida, I was in the Atlantic ocean before I could walk. My Dad always had fishing boats, so we always had the freshest fish/seafood anywhere. We also learned to skin dive practically before we could walk as well, and one of the coolest things about diving here is that there are no shortages of nurse sharks or any other sharks for that matter. We grew up being taught to respect ALL animals whether they be on land or in the ocean. Once I grew up, I as well taught my daughters to skin dive as well as enjoying the reef wildlife and part of that were nurse sharks, they still love them.
