Description

Chicken always tastes better on a stick, and this recipe is great when you grill it up indoors or outdoors. You can make it as a fun appetizer or a great main dish with rice and veggies.

Ingredients

  • 4 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 bn scallions cut in 1 inch lengths
  • 3 T sesame seeds
  • 4 T penut oil
  • 24 wooden skewers
  • 3 c sake
  • 1 c soy sauce
  • 0.75 c mirin
  • 0.5 c sugar
  • 1 c Dashi

Instructions

Cube chicken.
Skewer chicken alternating cubes with scallion pieces.
Brush with the oil.
Sprinkle with the sesame.
Combine remaining ingredients over low heat in a saucepan and reduce to a glaze.
Grill skewers, basting during last minute or so with the sauce.
