One Pot Sticky Chicken Wings

Description

These are way better then the wings you order at the bar, sticky and savory, they're great for finger food or for a main dish.

Ingredients

  • 32 very large chicken drummies, or 2-joint segments that have been separated
  • 0.33333333333333 c sake or sherry
  • 0.33333333333333 c water
  • 4 large thin slices ginger
  • 0.33333333333333 c soy sauce
  • 3 T sugar
  • 1 dried hot chile
  • 4 T oyster sauce
  • 2 clv star anise

Instructions

Place a 14 inch no stick saute pan over high heat.

Add the chicken and dry-sear to lightly brown the chicken.

Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer,

Cook, covered, for about 15 minutes.

Uncover, and simmer until pan is almost “dry”, tossing frequently to coat wings.

Skim off fat if you like…and serve, garnishing with scallion shavings and sesame seeds.
