Description

These mashed potatos always hit the spot.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb quartered peeled russet or yukon gold potatoes
  • 2 sticks butter or more to taste
  • 0.5 c heavy cream or more to taste
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Place a large pot of salted water over high heat and bring to a boil.
Add the potatoes and cook for @ 13-14 minutes until tender.
Bring cream and butter to a bare simmer over low heat and reserve.
Drain and place potatoes through a ricer or food mill.
Season potatoes with the cream and butter, season with salt and pepper and serve.
