Description

Ingredients

  • 3 lb whole natural chicken
  • 96 oz Chicken stock
  • 2 sliced carrots
  • 2 ribs sliced celery
  • 0.5 c diced onion
  • 0.5 c diced rutabaga
  • 4 parsley sprigs
  • 4 dill sprigs
  • 1 T black peppercorns

Instructions

Place the stock in a large pot over high heat and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to maintain a simmer and place the chicken into the pot.
Simmer for 90 minutes and remove chicken to cool.
Season the broth.
Butcher chicken off the frame, meanwhile cook egg noodles to your taste.
Serve whole pieces of poached chicken in large soup bowls with the noodles.
